From what iv seen of him this year, he's still the country's best number 7, and if not, tell me who is? even without the pace he used to have, he's still the most creative, his kicking game is second to none and he takes his team around the park superbly. Exactly what we want.

When watching him in the cup game against Catalans he was pretty shocking and still got MOM, he is a player based on reputation of which I am the first to admit is a terrific one but whenever he does anything half decent he gets more credit for it because of his reputation. I personally would rather have Burrow than Long at 7 for England. For us I would have neither I would go all out to get Orford, Thurston or Lockyer.

Dont talk stupid. Anyone with any RL knowledge knows Long is still the best, followed by Dobson, Myler's played half a season in SL and showed glimpses that he's going to be a good number 7. Leuluai is a decent, dangerous 7, but organisation wise, and genuine natural talent he doesn't come close to Long.

He was once a good player but at this moment in time Dobson & Myler are in better form than him

Remind me who is top of Super League?? Myler has shown glimpses, but not enough for people to start saying "sign him", and would you really want to run with 2 very young half backs next season? Long is proven SL class, Why you are mentioning Dobson, I really dont know, what you makes you think he'd leave Hull KR? Long would be perfect for 2 years, everyone knows it, nobody wants to admit it. Form is tempory, class is permanent.

Long is not the best anymore at all although he was for a very long time.



Dobson can organise a team just as well, he also has a better kicking game atm, he is far quicker than long, from what I have seen this season his hands are much better, Long has thrown our many poor balls.



Dobson is a much better player than Long IMO.



Myler from what I have seen has outplayed Long this season, on the attacking side of things and creativity, maybe not organisation but he is still young.

I bet Saints sign Myler to replace Long in 18 months time.

But Long is available, I dont know why you keep mentioning Dobson, fair enough he's a good player but he's happy were he is. Long is a born, proven winner. He's naturally a quality RL player, Long would improve our team by a mile, we havn't got an organiser at all, nor have we got a player who is capable of breaking the line. Like I have just read on the Saints site, do you think we would have had all them sets on Warrington's line without scoring if we had Long? He's lost a bit of pace, thats it. He's still capable of ripping defence's apart, and you can say what you like about him, he'd love to play for his home town club, he's a Wigan lad.

Im mentioning Dobson because you said Long was the best 7 in super league, but he is not anymore, Dobson is. Long would be a step up I agree but we could have a bigger one signing afew other players, players who are also available.
