Don't think he was physical enough to make it as a forward, though he always did well enough when I saw him for the reserves in varying positions.
Stanton has worked his socks off all season and finally got a chance to stretch his legs with full lengthers against Gateshead and Halifax - will become a firm favourite next year once he recovers from his injury. |

Lenagan sad to see Leigh relegated and is looking at Wigan helping them get back up to the Championship next season by loaning some players out.
Seems a very sensible move for both clubs.

It's already been alluded to, but do we really want our young players being coached by Ian Millward, when it's been made pretty apparent that he is appalling as a man-manager.
I personally don't. |

My thoughts exactly. Plus I'd much rather see our players getting experience at Super League or even Championship level. |

To be honest i said the same a while back in that i'd rather have our youngsters coached by nobody then Millward but if the chance of some first team rugby is out there on a short term basis for these lads we may aswell take it even if it means them being coached by him.
To be fair his record as a coach is fantastic outside of his time with us and if he gets a happy ship at Leigh our youngsters won't have much of a problem fitting in.
It's only going to be a short term measure anyway. |

Even if they go to Leigh they would not be there full time, they would still spend some time at Wigan, so maybe it's not a major problem.
