I've been sittng on this for a while now 2 see if anything comes up about it but I doubt Mcilorum has much of a future at Wigan.
Without trying 2 get my post deleted let's just say him and Wane had a few words at the bottom of Wigan lane a few weeks back!

Wasn't there allegations of problems on last years warm weather training camp in Teneriffe causing Mickey Mac to be disciplined and missing a couple of games at the start of the season. |

In all seriousness extremely dispointed if thats it in terms of signings. As off season signings go, getting Paul Deacon is uninspiring enough never mind JUST getting paul deacon.....surely theirs more in the kitty than that....whats the script with bails aswell? is he being taken back on?
Tbh i would have rather lost bails and not had deacon and gone and got a top class front rower or alternatively, if we have to have a HB at least get a WC one and go for someone like orford like bratfut have done! |

We have to assess the situation, cap, contract upgrades and our long term squad.
The right player upfront was not available this year, so rather than waste the money be patient, there are some class players off contract in 2011 no point attempting to bring in a Prop on a 1 year deal as frankly i do not think any Prop accepting a 1 year deal would improve us in the slightest.
What we have here this year are the final pieces of the jigsaw being put into place.
2011 will be the last piece.
2010 should see us return to being competitive and realistic challengers, 2011 should see us become realistic front runners. |
