ive been to many games at CP, walked it from Ince over scholes, in far worse conditions than these.



i think the reasoning behind all this new H&S stuff is that councils are reluctant to let people go to events because of the compensation culture thats taking over.



but if people want to risk falling, then let them decide whether or not to travel...not some jobsworth from H&S

surely its up to the fans if they want to travel???

like its up to folk to go shopping or not??



councils cancelled bin colections since last monday on safety grounds, because roads were impassable........yet the shops were heaving?



i think the reasoning might be

1. the aforementioned compensation culture

2. there might be a very low crowd with people reluctant to risk it.



as an aside..yesterday i set off to walk up to the bookies, slipped twice before i reached my gate, turned back , and didnt bother.

and the roads on my estate are still the same today....so i would have gone anyway.

Planning ahead for next boxing day which will be the last game at Knowsley dump it would be an idea of stocking rock salt during the summer when there is no demand for it so to grit the surrounding area so the game can certainly go ahead. There was a shortage last year you would have thought people (council) would learn. The roads in St Helens are like ice rinks.

Surely the area within the stadium grounds must be affected as well. Roads and pavements around the ground are nothing to do with the club really are they?
