the league leaders shield means a lot to ME , ive been there through the drubbings at knowsley hole , then leeds the week after , 150 points + in 2 games , the laughing stock of the league , close to relegation , 4 drives and a kick , having nightmares about the next game but feeling the need to go , walking to the home games with a feeling of dread etc etc
our first silverware of any kind for almost a decade ?
ask any proper wiganer if this means nothing ................i will be very emotional at the bradford game seeing MY team lift silver
if we win the GF , its a bonus in my book after what we have wittnessed over the last 10 years , getting to the top and staying there all season takes some doing

Yes it was very emotional at Hull KR after the game, lets hope we win the GF, but what ever happens the phoenix is rising and we've had some great away trips this season |

It'll mean something to me. It means a load to my lad who's 14 and apart from a fading memory of the 2002 cup final hasn't seen us lift any trophy in his lifetime.
That said, the Grand Final will mean much more. Win that and I'm getting drunk for a week |

I'll certainly be celebrating. Coming top after a long season is a fine achievement and it's a real turnaround for our club. It's important to take the positives out of life. Yes, if we don't go on to win the GF it'll be a downer but that doesn't mean we shouldn't enjoy ourselves on Friday nor that we've "won nothing" when patently we have won something. Jeez, there's some real misery-guts around!
Let's have a big group hug, sink a few bevvies and head into the play-offs on a positive note.     |

Seconded, finishing top IS an acheivement in a tough and very competitive competition as SL is today, the team and backroom staff have worked hard in maintaining a high standard of performance week in, week out and should be applauded and recognised by us all, believe me, no one thinks that this is anything but the beginning of the battle to win the prize we ALL want, not only reaching the GF, but winning it, is the target, and everyone at the club is aiming at it !!!. |
