| Gutted that he's leaving us but we've had plenty of time to get over it, can't blame him for going and I really hope he goes well and fulfills his enormous potential for you and England.
All the best Scott and good luck.

| A two year contract with an option for a further year in the clubs favour does not seem a lot
considering the Club are supposed to have paid a significant sum for him.

Agreed. He'll still be a few years away from his peak when the contract ends. Doesn't make sense.

| Fantastic news, very very exciting signing.
I do not feel we ever replaced Coley with a like for like player, until now.
He has all the potential to be a truly top class player. I am genuinely made up with this signing. A 2 year deal with a third in our favour gives us time to develop him further without locking us in to a long term contract in case anything potentially does not work out.
Great business by the club. The potential in our front row is frightening, the key now is keeping them together as well as having patience if we do not bring in an experienced front row forward to lead them.
If we do not Mossop has a big responsibility to step up and take on that responsibility for 2013 and hopefully beyond.

| I like Mossop a lot and obviously you will have seen a lot more of him.
Taylor debuted for us away in the play offs at Leeds in 2009 and looked completely at home, he's kicked on from there every month apart form the last three when he was obviously unsettled, no doubt in large part due to his agent.
I think he can and will meet any challenge head on, he's led our pack at times this season and once he gets going he's very difficult to stop. My only criticism would be that he looks to make another three or four metres sometimes when wrapped up when playing for a quick play the ball would be the better option in keeping momentum.
I really think you've made a sound investment and Taylor could and should go onto leading your pack for potentially the next decade. I hope he does.

| I'm not too concerned with the lack of experience in that front row because the quality is through the roof and the potential even greater. We do need one to try and stand out from the rest and take on that role as the leader of the front row and i'd have that man as Prescott if he can stay fit(always the big question). He's an intelligent lad and has quite a lot of experience for a bloke that'ss still a few years away from 30. He's missed a lot of games but he's still played in some huge games and seen both sides of the coin at Wigan from us being a poor side to now being a very good one.
If one or two can stand up then we'll be fine and we certainly have no issues with depth. We have Mossop, Prescott, Taylor, Lauaki, Dudson and Flower who are all first team ready and i'm also a big fan of Crosby.

The way I read this is as follows, when the club has the option of a further year it is because they wanted him to sign a longer contract and not the player wanting a longer one.
Makes me wonder if Wigan may just be a stopping off place before he heads back to Yorkshire.

No,
Wigan had the same option with Joe Mellor and kept him to it. At the end though Wigan decided not to extend the contract.

It'll be 2 years to prove himself, if he reaches his potential and becomes a good signing we'll probably end up trying to tie him down to a 4/5 year contract, like what we've seen with Mossop, Farrell, Charnley etc. I'd have been more concerned if we'd have signed him on an inital 5 year contract.

| Great signing, we have such a strong core of young but experienced players at the moment, fantastic for the future.
1. Sam Tomkins - 23
2. Josh Charnley - 21
3. Darrell Goulding - 24
4. Iain Thornley - 21
5. Anthony Gelling - 22
6. Sam Powell - 20
7. Matty Smith - 25
8. Lee Mossop - 23
9. Micky McIlorum - 24
10. Scott Taylor - 21
11. Jack Hughes - 20
12. Rhodri Lloyd - 19
13. Liam Farrell - 22
14. Gil Dudson - 22
15. Chris Tuson - 22
16. Ben Flower - 25
17. Logan Tomkins - 20
Thats a full team of young players all with super league experience all with around 10 years left in their career, I know some wont be here for the rest of their career but it looks great for the now and the future, especially when you consider theres even higher rated youngsters waiting to break through.

Sounds impressive. Being an outsider, there's a few there I haven't seen too much of. By way of debate, were you to start with that 17 throughout the regular season whereabouts in the table do you think they'd finish?
