the key is being able to win when you're not at your best, thus maintaining a high placed finish where you can turn it on for the last part of the season.



Generally though, if you aren't at your best early doors you get beaten, due to ''lesser teams'' having a longer off season and fewer internationals. That's why you often see upsets early on.

Some fans are at risk of looking incredibly stupid the way they are carrying on. We have won 4 games and we are playing really well as a team which is great but some of the comments on here suggesting we are unbeatble and we're going to put everyone to the sword are incredibly naive imo. The only decent team we have played this season has been Warrington and lets be fair the result could have gone either way, we weren't exactly dominant. We will improve in some areas but we will also lose some games, it happens as teams always raise their game against Wigan. Lets just take one game at a time and not give opposition fans ammunition to throw at us when we lose, whenever that may be.

I don't recall anyone saying we are unbeatable. Just alot of confident people liking the way the team are playing and the way they are being coached. Calm down mate.

They have to be fair. I don't mind it though, it's been a long time since we've had anything to shout about so let's enjoy it while it lasts.

Majority on here agree that Top 3/4 is very achievable, not seen anything of such to suggest we're going to go "Unbeaten".

Do we really need another one of these threads? I guess inter-fan banter is lost on you gpartin? I don't think anyone on this forum genuinely thinks we're going to go the entire season unbeaten so this rant seems a tad OTT

No, I don't want to pick on people for being optimistic so that people on here can have a go at them. I'm glad we're currently playing like a team that could win the league, hopefully it won't all come crashing down just yet.

As fans the Wigan people have stuck with this club through some pretty bad times over the last 7 or 8 years(by our standards anyway) and to me it's understandable that the very odd one is going a little overboard.



It's called excitment and I don't see why they should be made to apologise for that.



I'm sure the vast majority on here have their heads screwed on enough to see we're still a work in progress and we're a very long way of being the finished article.
