We started the match with, what?, six of our first choice players missing? Then we lose our two primary playmakers during the match along with one of our good young forwards and they only beat us by four points? They should have hung, drawn and quartered us, especially with their ten internationals on the pitch.



I was well proud of Saints tonight. Just a pity Wello wasn't having a good game. If he'd caught that dead easy ball with the tryline open to him, we would have won even with all the injuries.

Leeds and Stains will be in the mix come the playoffs, and have a proven pedigree when it comes to adapting to the rules of the competition.





Stupid to write either of them off.

I agree it doesn't matter but you can't lay claim to a worse injury situation than us. We started with six first choice players out and we lost our two key playmakers plus a prop with an already weakened bench. You wouldn't have survived that even though you had a team virtually full of experienced players, whereas our replacements are all bloody kids. Emmitt was only on his third SL match.

So even though we started the match with more injured players than you, your claiming that your bench was weaker than ours because of your injuries, that suggests you have not assembled a deep enough squad to cope like ours has. Champion teams deal with injuries, you apparently haven't.
