These injuries and little niggles are becoming abit of an irritation. It's not that the squad can't cope really but alot of players seem as though they're going to be going into the season abit rusty without much of a pre season under their belts and in the long term that could catch up with us.



Unlike Leeds last year though we'll just crack on and you won't hear a word from within the club about the injuries we've got.

bring Gleeson on for Sam, that way they only have to play half a game each, minimises the risk while giving them a bit of game time. If one is too injured to play 40 mins give Powell his big break, Walker too if both are ruled out.

To be fair to them it was not the Leeds club that kept bringing up their injuries.



It was the media that kept making constant and unnecessary reference to it and refused to give credit when teams such as Crusaders beat Leeds. Harry Gration probably being the worst culprit (even when Sinfield refused to blame injuries for loss of form and defeats on the Super League Show).

The media(well Eddie and Stevo) never stopped banging on about it but it wasn't all just the media. I remember McLennan coming out in the press and blaming the sides injuries for their poor preformences and he said he hoped other clubs would start to suffer the same problems.

Is the pre season becoming to intense?? Finch injured in training and now Tomkins and Gleeson who had no problems at the back end of the season with injury.

If there are any players with niggling injuries then don't play them on Sunday. We need them more in two weeks than for a friendly, another two weeks rest will probably do them more good, there's a l-o-o-o-o-n-g season ahead.

I heard that Tomkins was injured during the Five Nations. Not sure about the others.

Spot on. As much as the practice might help, it's lunacy to risk someone with a slight injury in a testimonial.
