I suppose the silver lining is a week off for the cup final, Toulouse away which anything from is a bonus, then a bye.  Could emerge from that month with a vastly different team- Bienek, new lad, O'Bierne, maybe Winney back. But the bench is going to be small in the meantime. 

If they need a bigger bench, I have one in my back yard I'm trying to get rid of.

Didn’t deserve to lose that one. Thought Smith and Gorman were impressive.Defended pretty well overall but could do with Bienek back to smash holes in the opposition defence. 

Agreed. One extra try in each of the 3 home defeats by 2 points, would change the season significantly. Even if the other defeats have been somewhat bad. In that respect small margins. Perhaps our 2nd half of the season surge should start now. 

Both sides worked very hard but lacked a bit of flair. Pretty even game they offered slightly more threat but we could have won. The 19 got a lot of the ball and 2 tries. Thought Lovell had a good first half. Stock and Worthington get through a lot of hard work. We just can’t quite unpick the opposition enough and eventually they get over the line. Definitely some good stuff but objectively I’m not sure Championship teams should be so reliant on loanees. We’re not masses off but we need a few as possible. 

Also thought Small was excellent his best game for us. Shame he didn't get his chance 10 years ago.  

It's a bit like last season. You cannot knock the effort and the committment but through a mixture of injuries and where the club is, they're coming up short again. Three defeats now by just two points and as we all saw last year, those chances not being converted will leave you at the bottom end of the league. I think Widnes were there for the taking, they had travel issues and looked under done but Broncos just didn't have the quality to score. 


Another new signing to come this week, though.

Payne Haas this week then?
