| Having just looked online, it would take me approximately an hour and a half to get to Barnet. Knowing what sort of Rugby was offered up as entertainment in the past three-five years, a three hour round trip to watch a side like that appeals little to me.
London Broncos are not my first club, nor are the London Skolars but the most local sides to me. As a fan of Rugby League and someone who is keen to see a game of Rugby League, I tend to go when I can. With the Broncos spending the last few years in Twickenham and offering up a dire attempt at playing the game, I've stayed away because of what is offered up and due to the fact that after a week at work, I'd be spending another four hours on a train to watch the Broncos get tonked. The Skolars on the other hand are an hour from home and although the standard of the games isn't Super League standard, I get to see two sides putting in a performance.
I know that my issue is partly down to travel but wherever the club lay their tent will not suit everyone due to the spread of people and lack of clubs but I would be prepared to travel to Barnet/Leyton/Twickenham (not Gillingham though) a few times a year if the standard offered by the Broncos was half decent.

| I really worry about the standard of player we will end up with now. Our fans will not come to watch more games of their team being smashed every week let alone attract new ones.

| Quote mickyb1234="mickyb1234"Values and culture, interesting comment, the club is being run poorly I agree does this mean the values are in doubt, unlike some other clubs in sl we have never been caught cheating the rules imposed by the sports governing body, when was last time we overspent on salary cap
I dont think values are an issue, culture maybe.'"
we are currently begging....sorry, negotiating for exemption from the Overseas quote and relegation.......that is a cultural thing, as is the total demolition of the lines of direct communication between the club and its fans.
Fans used to consider themselves an integral part of the club and in my opinion, rightly so......the cutting of these ties has contributed to the decline in match day attendances....in 2004 we achieved 3 more comp points than this year with 1 more game but still averaged 3,500.....losing is a ty experience for the fans, but at least we were losing TOGETHER!

| It seems as though many see watching the Broncos as they do visiting their Great Aunt Hilda at Christmas, it's totally , a painful few hours but they feel as though they must do it.
The fan experience is a big thing for 2014. If there is a 2014.

| I'm still relatively new to League and no way could I give up on the club. I understand what you are all saying about how it was different before, but I wasn't around then so the only way is up for me!
Plus The Hive is only an hour rather than 90mins.

| What values have the club got if they want to be exempt from the rules which govern the rest of SL relating to relegation and number of overseas players? To me such a move if it happens destroys any credibility, not only of LB but of the RFL in allowing such a rumoured rule to exist. What would the future look like if other clubs wanted to have the same exemption? In my opinion all common sense of fair play goes out of the window and I would feel very uncomfortable supporting such a club seeking this path. As it is the bond between club and supporter has been widening for the last couple of years and given this is part of management prerogative to take this action, then so be it, why should I still offer my full unfettered support? To me it is like my local pub putting up shutters, clearing out customers and offering poor service and drinks. If this was to happen I would go find another pub, one which valued my custom, something which LB have not done for a long time.
I would rather LB stepped down and rebuild.

| It would be appalling if the RFL granted such a dispensation.
This time last year when we (Salford supporters) were told by the then chairman that there was no guarantee we would start the next season the discussions were entirely around how can we raise enough money to keep "something" in place.
As everyone knows a knight in shining armour came galloping in and we played the entire season with youngsters and the rump of a side that had been plundered for what talent there was, generally getting thumped. BUT there was no dispensation from the RFL to recruit a bunch of expats over the quota.
I suppose the difference is that there is now the real prospect of relegation, but for me if the RFL bend the rules just in favour of LB it would devalue the whole competition.
All that said I genuinely wish you the best of luck and hope the Broncos survive.

| Has anyone stopped to ponder why we might be asking for such dispensation?
London cannot make up their squad with enough Northern players and we simply don't have enough youngsters of SL standard (or any, now that Clubb and co are off).
Don't know why people are getting their knickers in a twist about it....after all, we will not be signing anyone like Cronk and Slater. They'll all be players that no-one has heard of but that might be able to play to the required standard (and there are still plenty of overseas players in the Northern teams...too many, imo).
Back on topic, I will continue to support LB wherever they play...they are my club and that's it.
Wish I supported a club that was likely to win something (or even win their home games would be nice)

Which pub you going to drink in next?
Do you genuinely think Salford are within the SC, no genuinely, and they are situated in the lower end of the Manchester 'living market'.
Do you honestly think this sport is truly honest and open (and fair). Should the Bulls have gone bust, Wakey have been propped up, im sure there's plenty more we dont know about.
Have you heard of industry terms such as London living allowance or similar and ever thought it may or could apply to London Broncos? just a thought.
Enjoy the new pub ambience
