Let's stick with the ones signed up and fill the under 23s with young players

Think of the u23 team we could have with all the SL reserve players that will be released............their loss could prove to be the making of Leigh for the future.......could end up with a lot of SL fringe players in our U23`s that can be used to cover injuries.



Things are looking good for us.

Agreed - some on here just don't like PR. The lad could have won us the treble - and the Challenge Cup, and they'd still find fault in his selection policies!!



The squad we are assembling, and the team spirit that has been engendered.....we'll p[ii[/iss this league next year!!

It's staggering why people have any beef with Paul? He's leyther through and through.



Maybe if he started a sentence with G'Day all fans would love him and the board would be discussing a contract extension??

At the time of Rowleys appoiintment I was one of the biggest nay-sayers on here. About half way through the season I realised I was wrong and admitted it.

It's raining cats and dogs in FEV so i thought i'd trawl the forums for a change and i came across this thread. I cannot believe what some Liegh fans are saying PR has done an outstanding job this season. Me and my mates all think he should get coach of the year. At our place the other week you were very good for most of the game. I believe it was only a daft sod in the middle and the quality of our replacements that won us that game. PR should be allowed to carry on the good work. With Penky in your side and a couple more additions i expect you Fax and us to have a right battle next season.

Fax will be up there next season but the way Harrison has them playing I reckon it'll be a 2 horse race between us & Fev bring on 2013

I agree with almost every aspect of this post Ste. Cracking post. Just one element of it I may take issue with if I may so bold.....

Considering the hand Rowley was dealt at the season start and the lack of preperation and considering Fev are the best RL team outside SL for a while (probably since ourselves pre SL) I think Rowley has done a helluva job and thank him for it.

I like the RL that the lads are playing and the fact they are trying week in week out.

For me he has done a very good job and I hope he can build on this for next season - looking at the way the signings are coming in I actually think these are the most optimistic times we've had as Leigh fans for a long long time.

Sure we may not win the NRC / League / Play offs next year but if we put the same effort and commitment in again next season then I for one will be happy.

If they hadn't closed Winwick, I believe you may have qualified.
