I'm fairly certain that if Leigh appointed Betts, there's be Widnes fans saying lets all laugh at leigh.
As for the difference between Millward and Betts, while Millward didn't do a good job at wigan, he has been successful elsewhere. Betts is still unproven and has been out of the game for a long time.

And there's your key, he's unproven so let's see how it goes... laughing at the appointment only set's you for a fall full stop. I mean the messiah took you too the dizzy heights of 3rd but still feel is a top appointment, it's all about time and what's best for what club at the time! |

Yep, you do just need to see how it goes. I still reckon there would have been some widnes fans having a dig if we'd appointed him.
As for the "dizzy heights of 3rd" I reckon a lot of Leythers would've taken that before the season started. |
