Size and strength at Centre, size and creativity in the front row, speed on the wings (and Hunger), mobility in the back row and .............er...........er sod all at Halfback!!!





The lack of two good halfs is the result of where we are in the table IMHO.



Strategy - 3 good drives, and learn how to pass the ball through 3 or 4 pairs of hands in each set from tackles 4 & 5. Simple bloody game!!!





Oh, and a diverse bench with an underweight prop, inconsistant back, a young impact prop, and an over-rated Aussie who had so much promise, but well renowned for almost throwing a game away with some stupid offloads!!



in all though it does have balance. Our back line is very small and lacks strength and size (all but Nanyn). Lee Wingfield will put the fear factor up some centres, something that Donlan is unable to do!

Stanton probably wont make it, and Higson is more a centre certainly more than Wingy (and like Lynda said earlier in the week looks like AJ has lost a few kilos too me to) id swop those two, there is an outside chance of Alstead but I wouldnt risk him as yet.

Disagree re Watto he's the best we have and has had a fair season manly doing the job of two, sorry but ive never rated young Tom but its either him or Riddy.

I'd start with Morrison as it tends to take him a 'wee' while to get going from the bench and as Castle is only just back (if he is) from an injury then he would be my impact prop, Jock didnt have his best game against Barrow (who did?) but things happen more when he's at hooker, so its a bench spot for Durbin again for me, but used more and earlier, I'd give Armitstead a reserve team spot or a rest, and bring in Cunniffe. Young Gibson is an outstanding prospect but he's only a kid and with the pressure cooker of a relegation battle it would be unfair (IMO) to put such a weight on young shoulders, but either him or Ainscough (who will never let anyone down) should be 18th man.

But much will be revealed on Saturday when the reserves play at Donny, and lets not forget Hitty who's been playing great since coming back.
