Well it's nice not to be playing a Yorkie team for once. Swinton had in excess of 700 on yesterday, admittedly including some Batley fans. We had 1700 on, so what does everyone reckon we can hope for? The fact Swinton had a good win and it is a Good Friday fixture, should boost the attendance. What do we think?

Think the attendance will be harmed by the ridiculous 12pm kick off time.Surely an evening kick off would have been more beneficial.

Think we'll get over 2k, it worked last year with the lunchtime kick off.

I've no problem with the lunch-time KO, but to be fair, last season's Good-Friday fixture was later in the month, we were on an unbeaten run from the start of the season, and it was cracking the flags!! The fact both teams won over the weekend, and both clubs currently have the same address - making this the 'localist' of local derbies - should help in selling the game though.



Barring the opportunity of drawing Pies/Wire/Saints/Widnes in a latter round of the cup, this has to be seen as our 'marquee' fixture for the season (especially as the only other team in our division who will bring any sort numbers with them - Halifax - is now a Friday evening game, thus impacting on travelling support), and any crowd below 2k has got to be considered a failure, 'cos this will be the attendance that 'levels up' the season average!!



We've got to pray for 2.5k!!

Well - with everyone travelling 'home' for Easter (petrol situation allowing) we should be bringing an extra 8/9 with the usual 6.



12 noon kick-off is the perfect start to the family Easter weekend.
