He'd be the best player in SL by some margin.

If he was given a chance on a reasonable deal for one year with a second year option I'd be happy enough.



Probably would only feature in half our games, not unlike Gidley. But would still make a valid contribution and Patton would be getting game time.



There's certainly a lot of entertainment value to be had from Carney and he's a proven match-winner. Bearing in mind there's not much else on offer we could do worse than give him a chance... expect the worse, nothing more and maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised.

Not sure why he'd come to Warrington and be a world beater all of a sudden.

I thought he looked very good in patches for Catalan, his problem was putting any sort of a run of games together.

We won't be signing Carney. Talks have broken down.

I hope Carney signs. For the past few decades Warrington have always given us something to laugh about. Signing Carney would ensure 2017 would be the same

As a Saints fan I guess you have to look for entertainment elsewhere as its been in short supply at Langtree Park...unless you count the sound of the wailing and gnashing of teeth over the signing of the Prodigal Son

Laughing about signing carney, you just signed wilkin for another 2 years ,he's been dog sh it for the last few years so everyone's laughing at the entertainers

I can see the need to sign someone relatively quickly especially with Ratchford/Patton injuries but I think Carney is not the answer.

He was excellent on at least an equal ratio of games to Sandow. He was just unlucky with injuries and had a poor coach and played with the most unfit team in SL.



With a good coach and a fit team he'd be great.



But I see talks didn't work out and we'll be looking to someone else anyway.

I think Todd Carney would be a sensible signing. He'll find it difficult get an NRL club...There he left a salty taste in the mouth.



He is a very good player, more structure in his game than Sandown with less risk but to a high level and very consistent.



I think he'd want to come here, and we could save around half of the money we threw at Sandown. The reserve could go to securing a long term future with Clark?

I think this should be our priority for 2017. Daryl is class and as important to this club as Hill and Currie. In fact as much as I love Ben Currie I'd say that Daryl is more important to Warrington than Ben is
