I did think about having a 'kick about' on the bowling green, studs n everything.

Seriously though, my lad has to sit n watch a load of grown men kick a ball about for nearly 2 hours for his little reward (J20 and crisps) in the pub only to be chucked out to wait outside. He wasn't even allowed to look at the flavours.

I'm just a bit worried that the next away game has a local boozer with the same crappy policy.

I used to work at Statham Lodge and we sometimes used to go to the Crown in Lymm after work, and just after they refurbished it i'm sure that they didn't let under 21's in unless they were eating... Needless to say we took our custom elsewhere... dunno if this is still the case though, haven't been for a year or so...

I haven't got kids but mates I know who have don't take them to the pub. Try that in future and you won't have a problem.

he used to run the dog and partridge at woolston years ago,not the nicest of fellas.

Same person was the landlord at the Dog and Partridge some years ago. People still talk about the situation with children to this day.



Children are now welcome in there, no problem.

The worst one has to be the miserable git who used to run the Farmers Arms - no manners and had an attitude like he wanted nobody in the place.



You'd think in this financial climate they'd be bending over backwads to get business in.

I think you will find it is the terms of his license to sell alcohol. I would think his license says that kids are only allowed if they are eating.

So if they won't let your children in you can ask "Oh you must have been selling to underage kids then?"

gets my goat when they tell you after seving you and not before had problem in town once with me wire hat on ,served me then told me to remove hat.refused to remove said hat as they had served me with it on but agreed to leave after finishing pint bought,it was the princible of it.
