the point i was making about betting threads, i know you or les usually start one before matches, but they aint all that huge sprawling threads are they, and normally drop off the page pretty quickly, hence not warranting an annual one,of course things change don't they.'"
Oh yes i agree we don't need one thread to run all year round but a couple of days before each match is fine, we have threads about the best cheese to eat and crocked pavement slabs on the streets, know there useless. |

No, the bookies are saying that, on balance, they think Saints will beat us by 8pts. Looking at recent history, they have beaten us by that or less on several occasions. So, I think people were reacting to you saying "Quite a simple game to work out tonight." The reality is, it isn't. Sometimes Saints flog us, sometimes it's a last minute heartbreaker. We may even win! Who knows, new coaching staff and all that.
If gambling was simple, there would be alot of bookies going bust - doesn't seem to happen much! |

What you have remember is that there are only 2 or 3 rl odds compilers and they usually read from the same script.The other bookies copy and paste to within 2 points to stop the arbers.Hence the reason for doing your own handicaps and having your own opinions.So it was quite easy for me to work out.
Cant see a problem with having a season long betting thread for like-minded folk.Theres 1 on the Hull fc board that makes good reading.i'm sure there are a few on here that would rather read that,than something inane like,"whats your fav 3rd play the ball move"

Actually, I think you'll find our average age is higher than theirs and has gone up since 12 months ago whilst theirs has actually gone down. |
