Has Monaghans form dipped a touch?
I say that because it must have for Higham to reach a level above him. If Monaghan is playing aswell now as he did in those first few games of the season(especially against us) then Higham must have reached career best form. |

Higham has always played at a consistently high level for us. Monaghan can be absolutely brilliant, but he also has far too many brain farts for me. Tonight his passing game was poor, his kicking was average at best, and he gave a shocking offload a yard from Saints line which turned the ball over.
Monaghan's best is better than Higham's best, and tbh probably better than most 9's in SL, but his average games can be way below many of the others we talk about. |

Man alive, I love you sometimes.
Just saved me 5-10 minutes. That's the hooking situation from last night & in general covered. The offload was a tad unfortunate, I actually thought he was going to score then, getting stopped a yeard short you just play percentages and throw it & hope I guess. I'd half bemoan the lack of support given we should have been doing anything to get over the line then.
Higham was excellent last night, one of the few who got positive remarks from me as I semi-drowned in puddles leaving the ground holding my nose. |
