It is "supposed" to be law that Children are only allowed in rooms where there is no bar unless they are eating food, although there are a few pubs that make that exception.

I go in there occassionally as I live nearby, and in his defence there is a sign by both doors advising that kids are only allowed if eating, and then they have to be sat in the conservatory, or the library room, and have to be out by a certain time in the evening, think there is also soemthing that prams / pushchairs are not allowed at all.



More often than not he raises the kid eating question before anyone buys a drink.



I have 3 kids myself, and we take them to pubs and restaurants fairly regualarly, sometimes we get bounced like you did, but it's fair enough, there need to be some pubs that are kid free.

I had a similar experience in the stag a couple of months ago.

I asked for the menus and he bluntly said " No kids in after 6pm". It was 5.50 pm! I'll never step foot in there again.

Me too, probably 12 mths back. It was about quarter to six. We weren't too bothered, just driving past kinda thing.



The only bloke I've met, who's been ruder, is the guy from Snookers, who looks mega, mega peed off when you ask him for the balls. I asked him for chalk once, whoo, you should have seen it.
