I'm talking about Warrington players. Who began their Warrington career well and then over time went backwards?

Tony Tatupu, his Warrington career started so well with all the hype, its just it went backwards as soon as he stepped onto the pitch. So you could say it started well then declined.



Their are loads in this catagory, most players that leave go backwards in their careers, you don't sell your best players unless you have too like we had to do with Scully and Harris. We had loads of players in the past like Varkulis and similar other players with potential that we let go and they ended up at clubs like Chorley and Leigh etc

Yes I was meaning more players who were particularly good for a while and faded but were around for a while when past their best.



I suppose you could say Rob Smyth declined after scoring 4 tries in his first 40 minutes in a Wire jersey.

Noone, sibbit, wainwright, stevens, braeck, duffy



All had potential, even flashes of brilliance but failed to deliver and were shipped on.



Never forgave duffy passing the ball whilst seemingly over the line and effectivly stopped us from getting a major scalp. Struggling to remember more. Any1 help??

Didn't Neil Kenyon get a hat trick on his debut? then went down hill for him.



Brian Carbett, he was a flyer early in his career then his form dropped, think he had a bad injury and was never the same when he returned.

Brian Carbert, Ronnie Duane, Kev Penny, Mark Roberts, Phil Sumner, Rob Myler, Jon Roper, Andy Holbrook. Some of these declined due to injuries.

Paul Noone is one for me.

He was hailed as our new Paul Sculthorpe and our future Captain.

Unfortunately for us and Paul none of this materialised.

Good call, I always compared Noone and Woody, not position wise but players coming through at around the same time. Noone appeared to have the skill and flare to make it whilst Woody was just a hard running no nonsence forward. At that time I would have said Noone would have made it while hard running forwards were easier to come by. Well how Woody has matured and his game has improved especially under TS. Well done Woody. Sadly wasn't to be for Nooney.
