| well went to penrith today, thought i would go and have a quick look at the stadium, met with some of the players as they train next to the stadium, saw trent waterhouse asked him will he be a warrington player next year, he smiled and said just have to wait and see, seems a nice guy and hopefully a warrington player next year  |

I told you about their offer a couple of days ago. I think Leeds are about to announce a signing for this season, there really is no other explanation for cutting your squad depth to pieces. If Cross and Burgess were genuinely out of favour as they make out, they would play in the academy and be there as backup like any other club would do. I don't think that signing will be Waterhouse however as I don't think there is any chance of him being released early. |

Yes, but it does go on to clarify that, unless another club comes in for Cross, he will have to stay until the end of the season, and that Burgess will have to go out on loan until the end of the season too - i.e. it would appear that it is for next year anyway - meaning it could all be for Waterhouse - a spot on the quota, and their two wages combined could pay his?? |

Sorry to derail the OP, but the Luke Burgess issue, obviously the lad wants to go to Aus and fair do's to him, but will he sacrafice enough to enable him to get the full 80 (or whatever his style is) by going to a less sucessful dare i say high profile club.
Can we see the likes of Quins/Salford/Wakey coming in for him on loan? Surely he wouldn't drop to Widnes/Leigh as it would defeat the object? Maybe Cas wil steal him to replace Walker

I don't see how that would even be possible. That would mean they were over the cap by two players worth, which would be utterly bizarre given that we're supposidly in a 'live cap' environment.
