It would be very interesting to know what percentage of Salford supporters don't live in Salford.

With regards to the devil I have mentioned before onhere how easy it is to market. Bib with mucky little devil etc, babygrow 'I'm an original little devil' and the junior devils (which I think sounds better than junior reds) featuring the player night as was suggested. There should be branding on merchandise and in my opinion it should include a devil.

I agree... But it isn't part of the current branding.

If memory serves, a couple of years back approximately 50% of Forever Reds membership lived outside Salford and about 80% were outside "Old" Salford.

But why not make it so for the juniors in a non threatening manner!



Lets face it there are so many products on sale today that the club could utilise to brand easy and cheap products our own.



Sticky back plastic you can print on to, could be used to personalise photo albums, autograph books with the child's name and the current badge (no waste if it changes) I bet you can buy a kit to embose into paper and books.



The club need to be creative in their approach, conduct research into what people will purchase and maybe seek pre orders. Mind you they seem to find issues in getting the free shirt offer right so maybe there is a problem there.

I agree, the Devil motif should return. Yet you must have a prominent logo on every bit of merchandising you produce. Just having 'cheeky little devil' in type somewhere on a baby grow disassociates the garment from Salford City Reds — it could as easily have been bought in Primark etc.

The original Red devils could be the brand and include Salford RLFC somewhere.

Hopefully with a Multi Million Pound stadium planned adjacent to the M60. enabling a prospective 3 million population within easy travelling distance that percentage should drop? afer all Salford will have a finely tuned marketing strategy

I would suggest a decent supply of actual team shirts in all sizes for both sex's and for both ome and away shirts to be stocked.

An option of discount for buying both shirts at the same time would i'm sure generate interest from fans on here.

I would suggest that a decently designed and made polo would fly out too for those who prefer not to wear the team shirt.



Maybe a de4cent idea for what would and wouldnt sell could be gleaned if when the seasontickets are sent out the club sends out a pre paid envelope and a bit of a questionaire with some tick choices as to what you'd be interested in buying.



I'm sorry but if the fans can come up with decent ideas why can't the people who areactually paid too do so? Manchester has a thriveing student population and i'm pretty certain a fair few must be doing some type of marketing courses surely the club could approach the universities about haveing some involvement and thus gain the benefit of some more youthfull left field approaches to this.

With the logo(s) and branding being discussed I may as well throw in my opinion that the badge/logo that we've had since becoming the reds is rubbish. A rebrand is in order in my opinion, maybe approriate to link in with the stadium move if we can wait that long.

Marketing dept, please take note we are2 or 3 matches in for the yawnion season and twice in the MEN they have had a glossy A4 size advert for sale sharks games, maybe this is something we could do next year
