| I hope we get some movement soon regarding the stadium, it sounds like Peel want some help funding it perhaps they are waiting for Salford Council to stump up a bit of cash to help it along.
It would be a massive let down, building a new shinny stadium and having to watch Salford play Batley in it for 3 years with 1500 other people and 30 from Batley until we get back in the big time. (if they let us back in)

Even with a new stadium or one on the way, it still doesn't guarantee a franchise. Especially the way the RFL want to constantly "expand" the game.
It won't be long before there will be Saints, Wigan, Leeds, Bradford, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Dublin, Celtic, London x2, French x2 etc. It all adds up to more movement away from the heartlands and more Sky subscriptions from those areas, if there is any local interest.
The championship will look like the good old days shortly.
