The 87-room hotel will be operated by management company Interstate Hotels and Resorts and is expected to open in March 2015. So ,unless I'm mistaken , that means he's not involved ,but if there's anything more up to date I'd be interested



In the scheme of things,it doesn't really matter at all,I know.

Think it's called 'The Layla' Hotel, after his daughter. Liverpool's only five star hotel. Jointly owned by MK and a Dubai based consortium. Or at least it was...

As I said it doesn't really matter but if you do a bit of googling you'll see that Layla Hotel Liverpool Limited is in liquidation and I think the project was passed on to Hilton/ Interstate.

That's my final word ,on the basis of it being irrelevant to the rugby side,and if I'm wrong I'm wrong.

I think the only reason someone raised it was in relation to MK owning a big hotel business in Liverpool, and how that impacted on his supervision of Martin Vickers

Could be purely coincidental but the hotels website developers are the same as the club and his training company? Also a few months ago the Doc posted an image of himself with MasterChef Jean - Christope Novelli on twitter referring to a great meeting at the hotel. And something about exciting news to follow.

He'll get nowhere bringing in these big-name marquee chefs on whacking great salaries. He wants to get a team of young, local chefs, proud to pull on the whites.

If you google 'Marwan Koukash Hilton' it brings up photos of Marwan (hotel owner), David Huges (general manager) and chef Simon Rimmer (hotels restaurant owner)

The hotel opens on August 31st according to the Hilton website. Apparently this follows many delays going back 10 years.

It could be that Koukash owns the Hilton franchise here, or that he leases the property to Hilton.
