Having Northern in the title won't help break the image of RL being a sport for Notherners only.
I could see "League Rules Football" working, but it is dull. |

Will people stop suggesting things with 13 in it! It won't work for modified versions of the game that don't have 13 players so would be stupid. We've been over this!
The only two that I've seen that have any potential have been League Rules Football and Leagueball. The rest either still have rugby in it (defeats the point entirely), 13/XIII/treize/thirteen (unworkable in modified games) or are just random words.

Given that "rugby" itself is merely the name of the school / town that the game was first played in an organised form, it would be nice to name it after the place where the RFL / NU was founded. Unfortunately Huddersfield just doesn't sound right. |

If it ever did happen (and that's a big if) im edging towards Northern rules rugby. and rename super non specific league 'The Rugby League'? If the union lot went for 'super union' would it immediately evoke images of rugby union or The TUC? And before anyone says it, no, I dont think people would confuse the competition with The RFL, give people some credit. Am I correct in thinking that Aussie rules is properly known as Victorian football? Northern rugby or northern rules rugby is not such a big step.
