I don't think Webb has changed since 2005 at NZ Worriors he has always been agressive, petulant and questionable tackle technique. Not been his biggest fan last year but his attack has drastically improved on last year, and is creating chances in attack

Still one of the top 3 fullbacks in the league. Who would you rather have?

| Its seems a minority of Wigan supporters have developed this 'Webb syndrome'. Apparently they can only be defeated if their is a conspiracy/foul play or they just couldnt be bothered, Its impossible for the opposition to just be better than them on the day.

I don't even think he is the best full back at the club any more. Look all over our board and most people agree. I think he is only there this year because we have an average 3/4 line age of about 7

'" The alternatives would be competent full backs but I can't see any of them offering Webb's attacking advantages - which is why he remains key IMO.

Tomkins, obviously. Hodgson he's on a level with, and Patten has started the season well after being poor last year so we'll see. Grix and Dorn better than Webb? I honestly don't know how some people can see the games through their prejudice. It's amazing Leeds win so much with such a lemon in such a vital position.

If BJB offered as much at fullback as Webb as an attacking pivot or a last-line defender then Webb wouldn't be at the club any more. He doesn't, so he is.

| Webb in the first half of the WCC was back to his very best. His second half effort was a bit erratic to say the least. If he performed to that first half level every week only Tomkins would be ahead of him in SL.
A number of Leeds fans weren't happy with him being retained for this year, but I was, especially given the young threequarter line we have. He makes mistakes and gives away penalties, but he's also a threat in attack and generally solid in defence. It will be interesting to see if he stays beyond this year, and if not who gets the gig for next year.

| When Grix moved to fullback at the Giants we wondered how we would cope without Hodgson.
We didn't miss Hodgson one bit. That says it all about Grix at fullback.
When Webb first arrived he truly was world class. Now, I wouldn't swap him for any of the Giants that can play fullback.

| I agree Grix is a good player but nowhere near Hodgson in term of quality.
I think Grix is just one of those players thats willing to put 100% in every game and in every minute, which makes up for this.
Leeds have a couple of whingy players, Webb, Bailey, Smith to name but a few, the question would be raised would any get into Wigan or Saints squads? The only saving grace is Leeds also have quite a few players which just shutup and get the job done ala Peacock etc otherwise I'd never watch Leeds play.....
