There IS a reason to change the name of our sport, clearly.

You just don't think that reason is a good reason. That's your opinion, fair enough. But there are plenty that disagree (which is why the subject has come up numerous times in the past) so it's not a "stupid thread" (that's the cynic in you complaining about everything again).

For us to change the name , would be to admit defeat

Or be a sign of intent that we don't want to be compared to them.

All of this is just your opinion. You've expressed it. I've challenged it (apparently I'm not allowed to). You're saying we should want to be compared as we're the better game, but all the complaining you do about other parts of the game make you wonder why you'd want us to be compared, and it's a very valid point.



You can't just expect people to discard the other things you've said for no reason and then just do as you say. It doesn't quite work like that.
