I would guess he has done it for the money. He will probably get as much for doing this than playing a whole season in super league. I could be way out only a guess

dont forget about possible exposure for his film too - a lot more people will know his name now from being on this, rather than just the people who follow rugby = bigger box office receipts

So he is doing it as promotion for a film that isn't even in full pre-production let alone production?

There doesn't have to be just one reason for him going in you know. He's going to get a load of money, possibly kick start a 'celebrity' career, put his name out there to millions of people (which would undoubtedly help promote the film if/when it comes out). Heck, he may even enjoy himself! Can you really blame the guy?

No, i can't fo all of the reasons you mention bar the film. That people still think this will go ahead baffles me...when hollywood is struggling for cash (believe it or not) do you think a film like this would be top of a producers list?



Unfortunately, cant see it happening. And if it does, do we think league will feature much? i doubt it, wouldn't be surprised if they even tweeked it to NFL or something

He tweets suggested he would end up on one of these programmes, but this really is the bottom of the barrel. At least on the jungle, though eating bugs and the like, you end up being able to improve your standing in the world of celebrity. That Strictly and the ice dancing ones would be the best to help his post-playing career. This is just full of non-entities.



(Of course, this means I watched it last night. All the good work Thomas has made in coming out and being gay and playing rugby was pretty much written off by the presenter saying how he's like to be in the middle of a load of rugby players.)
