You can't go wide if you're not going forward, and you can't go forward if you've only got one prop.

Every one says hes getting on abit but from just watching the Saints games on Sky he still is one of your most influential players, when he comes on for his stint your whole team totally responds and you go forward and make more meters. How much longer can he last because he is still putting in class performances?

He is well worth another year IMO, but its up to him i suppose.

It's true he was awesome that day but back to his below par best the week after against bulls(I think).

I'm inclined to agree - for every good game he's had in the halves he's had a few poor ones.



That said, he's not a half back. He's a ball handling back rower who is currently grafting rather than ball handling. I think that is what he's being asked to do and in fairness, he does it well. He's putting in some monster efforts that people aren't necessarily paying attention to because they want to see him breaking the line and setting up play.



When we get some props back, we'll see an improvement in Wilkin's game I'm sure. At the moment, he's just having to muck in to make up for the lack of grunt up front, as are the rest of our back rowers

He almost wasn't, if reports are anything to go by. But with our thin squad and if we want to be competing in the playoffs, how much choice do we have? He needs the sort of op Wello needs so either he battles on as Wello has been doing or he goes for the season so far as I can see (given that there is not much left of the season).

He shouldn't have been playing last night. That game last night will have no bearing at all on the playoffs.



Ok, they will finish top but finishing 2nd ain't bad at all.



If I'm being honest though he played how he's played all year. Bad knee or not he was just same.
