Shouldn't it be 12 drummers drumming?

| Last time I went to KR, I seem to recall Gareth Stephens scored a winning try for Leeds in a poor game. A player who IMO never fulfilled the promise he showed when he first made the 1st team
Think I recall a massive cock up by Vince Fawcett, and he was taken off
Good old Dougie might have been coach?

| Yes, Dougie was coach. Fawcett was running the ball out from his own sticks and dropped it clean (IIRC), letting Hull KR score what was seemingly the winning try, only for (again IIRC) Andy Gregory, in one of the very few good things he did in a Leeds shirt, set up Gareth Stephens for the actual winner.
I believe Dougie made some comment regarding the Fawcett incident along the lines of 'If I'd had a gun, I'd have shot him.'
Regarding Stephens, it may be a terrace nonsense, but didn't we take him instead of Jason Robinson?

Could be worst for RL fans. Man Utd fans with season tickets are being forced to buy tickets (at around £50 a pop) for the cup reply against 4th tier Cambridge or face having their season ticket suspended for the next home league game against Sunderland.

It's fairly easy for them to get away with it in terms of fans are told in advance of buying a ST what will happen regarding cup games. It's merely a question then of whether the fan is prepared to take that chance......they may not get drawn at home at all in the FA Cup, they might get drawn against a big team like City or Chelsea on a weekend tie to which the fan is quite happy to fork out for......or they could get a 2nd division in a midweek reply that some might not even be able to attend due to other commitments.
I imagine such is the demand for tickets and ST at Old Trafford that most feel the need to take that risk but it's not until the realisation hits you that you have to pay £50 to see Cambridge United probably get comfortably dispatched that it highlights just how a screwy system it is.

Think that's a half truth, Robinson was and wanted to play in the halves, but Leeds had Stephens and Francis Maloney, so Robinson went for wigan + Leeds had an awfull reputation at the time for lack of youth development.

Was in the club shop today and a new allocation of tickets for the dreaded southern terrace had been delivered. I have a good quality pair of Opticron binoculars available for hire if anyone is interested?

As for the seating allocation, thinking back to last year, home fans make up the majority of the seat ticket sales, with the Rhinos fans tagged on either end, and the remainder standing. So I don't think the allocation is massive. It also doesn't make for a great atmosphere.'"
I disagree.
I went last season and thought the atmosphere was great (beer obviously helped ) and really looking forward to it again this season. I was even more impressed I managed to get the same seats as last season in Block A, which has its own merits as it is as far away as possible from the East Stand.

Stephens was regarded as the better half-back by those at Leeds at the time. It was Wigan who saw the potential to convert Robinson to a winger that Leeds hadn't spotted.
Always felt a bit sorry for Gareth. Inadvertently at the centre of the decision not to retain Jason Robinson, and also in the one that ended with Bobbie Goulding getting moved on too IIRC. Neither of which were his fault.

Yep he never materialised into a top player, but he did win the CC with Sheffield
