| I don't know why we would need Hospitality boxes in the South Stand anyway! Cant see any problems with the plans. There is a bigger picture which is a new North Stand with new corporate boxes in there, so there is no point having them all around the stadium. We currently have up to 1500 corporate spaces on a match day which is plenty. A new North Stand would bring more in, so worry about hospitality boxes later!

| Is it lower than the current stand?
If so & being lower than the original proposal at least more sun will get on to the pitch which should help the grass recover better.
I thought one reason for playing games away at the end of this season was to get cracking earlier on replacing the pitch, or has this also been dropped from the plans in the interests of economy?

| I think it's important to understand who this particular document has been prepared for. This is a consultation paper and I'm guessing the only people whose opinion matters at the moment are local residents/property owners who may object to the development as it goes through planning.
So this is not part of the normal line of club-produced guff bigging things up, rather it's focussing to significant degree on the development's conservatism and timidity compared to what they really wanted. Or what they want people to think they wanted but have munificently given up for the benefit of the local community ....

No. Clear photgraphic evidence of something actually being built rules that out.
Now, if it was a photo of the T&A with the headline 'SUPER STADIUM PLAN FOR ODSAL!' your guess might have been correct.

| I know the club initially wanted it to be the same design as the Carnegie Stand but when the Carnegie cash cow dried up and they realised they would have to foot the bill themselves they scaled their ides back a little.
It's a shame the new stand won't increse the capacity more and that there will be no more corporate facilities but these plans look more realistic in the current climate.
There's not many clubs that could fund smething like this themselves and we're so well run now that we can.
Not read the whole thread but has anyone mentioned last year's accounts? The club increased it's turnover to 11.1 million which is a fantastic performance. Also, 2.3 million of that came from commercial and corporate income so corporate facilities are very important.

| Missed opportunity and ideally they should wait until the finances are in place to fulfil the original designs - but I think it's a case of "damned if you do damned if you don't".

I've looked through them and turnover is up but only when compared to a 10 month period the year before - £11.1m vs £10.4m for the 10 months. So we're back to the entertaining but unfruitful debate we had last year as to whether November and December are especially low revenue months with only one game but Christmas sales on the retail and corporate side in there.
Perhaps the most interesting thing in the accounts is the note that "it has been considered prudent to create a provision for possible liabilities arising from an industry wide challenge by HM Revenue and Customs the outcome of which has yet to be conclued". No figure is disclosed for the provision but I estimate it to be £526,925

I hadn't spotted that.

I guess income is high in those months with season ticket renewals and the new replicashirts

That is only £1.5m less than HMRC think they owe!

| Where we gonna find someone that tall to hold up our new roof?
Seriously underwhelmed by the picture, but pleased with the amount of room for expansion (subject to planning) of course
