Does anyone know of any teams within about a five mile radius of Kirkstall, looking for (open-age) players?

I would imagine any team would be interested if the right quality player showed up. Milford (Kirkstall), Queens(Burley), Hunslet Warriors and Hunslet Old Boys, East Leeds (East End Park/Cross green) are the best within a 5 mile radius. I don't know if woodhouse still have a team but they would be just round the corner albeit a lower standard.

Leeds Akkies, based at Old Modernians in Cookridge, are interested in ANY player that wants to play.



We'll be starting pre-season towards the end of March mate.

Rodley are also within the 5 mile radius, open age train Monday's and Thursday's and are at home today against Queenbury (Kick Off 2pm). Telephone Diane for more info on 07870 384393.

All decent clubs too, with Warriors and Milford (with their new 3g pitch) probably having the best facilities. You can add Stanningley to that list, too.

In our league them. And we've been back. . . well, we've not stopped really.

I'm sure he will be. He runs the Masters team these days, I've never seen such a rabble of over-35's so well organised.

i am glad someone has asked this question i have been contemplating joining a team for a while now but i knew that miford and stanningley were teams of a higher standard that i couldnt meet so i was just looking for a team to keep me fit and keep off the pounds

Phone Dave Clayton at Guiseley..hes not exctly a chairman..that bloke does everything..phoners you up for fixture, meets you at ground, shows you to changing room, sorts teamsheet out, payments etc..theyd be stuffed without him.

Mr Ticket Office . What age groups are they running at Rodley now ? And do you have a link to a fixture list ? This year my intentions are to watch mostly anything but Super League , so I could make a few trips down that way . Maybe a few away games too .
