Anyone know of any gyms in the Leeds area that have a decent set of free weights and are not absolutely rammed on an evening. Currently train at Altered Images in Pudsey but its a nightmare in the evenings. Cheers.

I've tried loads and there all the same rammed on evenings. I used to train at Altered image too but then switched to Esporta up Thornbury (only a 5 mins drive from there) as its just too busy and that was better. Its rammed on Mon and Tues until about 7:30/8 ish but then not so bad on wed-sun. The free weights are a bit limited with only one sets of dumbells only going 35kg.

I don't go to gyms in the evenings. I go during work hours. Then pop to the deli for a sandwich, crisps and buns when I've walked on the treadmill for 15 mins.

Agreed. Reasonable rates and you're not tied in to a long term contract.

Had a year at Virgin at Kirkstall, prefer to be outdoors exercising really.

therefore now, touch rugby at Sth Leeds stadium, tennis at Leeds Met and running around the trails of North Leeds and Bramhope.

Probably a long way round Leeds but New Era Fitness in Yeadon has a good range of dunmbells and usually isn't too bad on an evening. 5-6 30 is probably always gonna be peak time at any gym though.
