| Quote blinkstudios="blinkstudios"Have a look at the table we have lost 5 games but are only 4 points off 8th place. Wakey aren't much better and look at all the players they have bought. The season is far from over and when your down there's only one way to go up up up.
'"
There is only one way in Sl because you don't have pr. But surely your fans deserve better than that mate. It's a bit poor if the argument is well were only so many points behind this team or that team, and they are crap as well.
I just fear for the game of RL.
No offense intende just a RL fan who is concerned for our game.

| I sais to my mate before the game that without Danny Orr cas would really struggle , far too much pressure on Chase and far too predictable with next to no kicking game, someone asked in an earlier post how good a fullback was Donlan?, well for us at the giants he was more than capable , especially in the semi final win at odslum against leeds.

| Quote Code13="Code13"FWIW as a Giants fan I thought Ganson was abysmal for us too.
How on earth he didnt go to the screen for your try is beyond me when it was a blatant dropped ball...and that was after he was making up reasons to give Cas a penalty.'"
Youngquest had fingertips on the ball which now constitutes as downward pressure hence it being a try.
Huddersfield being offside, not marking square and using illegal tackling techniques were all penalties too, please learn the rules before complaining.

| Quote Slugger McBatt="Slugger McBatt"[uA side higher up the table would have got through you. [/uCas made some good inroads at times but just couldn't convert. Don't get all up yourself. Go back to this time last year, after 7 rounds. I seem to remember Cas were top of the tree.
Personally, I like Eddie's description, of cellar-dwellars 4 years on the trot. Enjoy this year, although the rest will gallop past you soon.'"
Wrong. Our record over 7 games shows otherwise. Less than 15 points conceded per game. Including games versus top 3 in the table last year. if that is a deficient defence give me more.
As a wakey fan there is little possibility for many clubs to gallop past you At the Giants we have averaged a table finish of 4th over 3 years so we will see just how many people gallop past the Giants....unlikely to be wakey
Not surprised you like the cellar dwellers description. That said,I would gladly live with that description and go to recent Challenge Cup finals ( even losing them) with my club. As a wakey fan wanting success looking into the past rather than the future is a smart option.
I think getting Jacko, Huby, Orr and Griffin + having Basil working with the guys will make a significant difference to Cas.

| What i want to know is what the hell has Jordan Thompson done to upset Basil?...all the players (especially McGoldrick)tried at centre have been pretty woeful but he doesn't get a look in.
Last night was dire...and very worrying given that the Giants never really got out of second gear.
To me the blame at the moment is right across the club...
Players...no pride in the performance, not professional enough in outlook and most of them are frankly pinching their wages.
Coach...said he would tighten up the defence...he hasn't.
The Board...Giving ludicrous long contracts to some players who clearly aren't or weren't ever worth it, meaning we can't strengthen the squad anywhere else.
I get the feeling that Millward has until May (Widnes at home /Challenge Cup rounds) if no wins after that the board will get shut of him

Exactly right. However, when there's NO fingers - nor arms nor hands - on the ball, it isn't a try.

Also unpenalised where countless cannonball & crusher tackles.
Every replay of Youngquest's try also showed his fingertips were touching the ball so again, try.

On that performance, that's a fair call. However he was actually outstanding when we played against Wigan - a shining light in a dire team performance. Never once shyed away from a high ball, some of which were much harder than the ones he fluffed on Friday. His inconsistency mystifies me, it really does.
