Like i said, i don't condone what they did, but i fully agree with them stepping in. Even though i fully disagree with the extent they did it

With respect: you might- an objective court hearing which heard all the evidence, including their explanation of what they did and why, disagreed.

Considering your club have taken this stance (even if it is right thing to do) then why did they agree terms with Cockayne last season before Rovers upped their offer

possibly because certain evidence hadnt come to light at that time? Who knows?



All i will say is we are all human and all will(including myself) happily sit on our pedestals and pass judgement on events such as these.



what happened that night certainly was wrong and by no means am i condoning what happened but it hasnt suprised me in the slightest that the two escaped prison.i have known much worse situations where people have also escaped prison.



as a rugby fan i would much rather concentrate on the sport.i know incidents like these at times tarnish our sport but it happens and not just to our sport but in all sports and all aspects of life.



the clubs will know more information than we do and we should trust them to make the right decision on the matter.and who knows the people involved in this incident might learn from this and be better people for it.



prison is about rehabilitation not punishment so if rehab can happen without prison then so bit it.if the clubs are gonna help the players from making the same mistakes in future then i for one wont be calling for them to be sacked.



cas have sacked the young lad so i trust they have made the right decision if hull dont sack there player then i presume strict guidelines have been placed on him to monitor his behaviour in the future.



the issue has been dealt on a legal front which is most important.

Having just watched the video. I have to say the lad getting the kicking, sure as hell doesn't look unconscious at any time during the attack.

The video I have seen agrees with you but it matters not. What a complete coward - he even tried to have a go at the innocent bloke at the end. How on earth did he avoid prison. Here was a chance for the courts to show an example- lets face it,they can't be often given cctv coverage - and the judge bottled it.



Cockayne - what a complete coward. Hull KR should get rid asap. Its the only and right thing to do.

am sure the judge didnt bottle it.i think the problem will be is that the judge in question probably deals with hundreds of cases identical to this every year and a precedent has probably been set that this offence warrants a years suspended sentence.its would have been up to the prosecution to convince a jury that they deserved a higher more severe sentence.

Shear luck, one kick in the right place and it would have been a murder charge.





Conscious or not what right as this animal got using another human being as a punch bag.

bailey and walker got sent down for far less than what ben did in that video imo,i'll also bet that a repeat offender, that also plays in super league will also get off lightly in the not too distant future,who says that kids need role models anyway to look upto?icon_wink.gif

i don't think that HKR will get rid of ben either as they know perfectly well that another super league side would give him a second chance!
