| Emergency Train ????
I have checked the timetables and as it stands today ie right now there are no extras either to or from Blackpool.
Thinking about the logistics I am right to believe that there is going to be an extra one parked up at Halifax with a driver and guard ready to spring into action - I think not - plus the only space to accomadate it at Halifax is in the siding next to Eureka and this is already used on sundays to make the extra services to and from Hudds etc .....
On the plus side at least our town is big enough to have a station - unlike our final opponents .....
Hopefully if the trains are rammed going Northern will have sense to put additonal units on for the return - its not so much gettin there more getting home that worries me as as you will see from my earlier post the options to get back maybe limited to three trains at best unless we want to go via Manchester which will take forever.

A lot of Leythers are traveling by train as well mate even though we have no rail link, People are getting trains from Atherton, Wigan, Bolton, Westhoughton and Horwich, all within a few mile radius.

For those who don't know where Sowerby Bridge station is, by a strange coincidence, it's on Station Road in Sowerby Bridge.
'"
It's not [iactually[/i on the road is it ? Surely that would make it a tram !

| As someone who uses this line every week in order to get to and from Fax games there will DEFINITELY need to be an extra carriage at the very least, more like two for the peak ones. Just on a normal Sunday with nothing on and standard weather the two carriages are always 1/2-3/4 full. Even when the Football season is mixed with the Rugby season they still only put two carriages on.
You'd have thought NORTHERN RAIL would have put some sort of deal for the fans for the final of the NORTHERN RAIL CUP! Especially as nearly every station including RL hotbeds like Accrington and Blackburn have posters of the competition as a whole and the final displayed throughout their stations as well as on their trains.

| Northern Rail ran special trains for both sets of fans in 2006 when we got there and 2008 when I went to watch Salford v Doncaster so I've no idea why they haven't this season when this will be the biggest crowd of the lot!

| They've run special trains in the past, but apparently for time table reasons they take really odd routes, the special from Cas a few years ago took a lot longer than getting the normal service that included a change that set off afterwards!
Won't be as simple as people think to put an extra service on, Its a sunday which inevitably means engineering work somewhere. which can lead to other trains been diverted as well which could put increased time constraints on part of the route.
If it was me getting the train and I wanted to make sure I was on it, I'd buy a return to Bradford earlier on and get on the blackpool train there!
