It followed 'Everything Must Go', which was one of THE massive albums of the mid 90's, and so had huge expectation on it - It was a decent record, but lacked any real 'killer' tunes, so was given mild reviews all round.
If it had been a debut album, or followed a less successful album, then it would have been more highly thought of. |
